Job Title

Surgical Tech – OR Tech (Surgical Services)

Key Responsibilities

Perform scrub tech duties across a high-volume Level I Trauma OR environment with 25 OR suites serving a diverse patient population including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and geriatrics
Support surgical procedures across multiple service lines including general surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, plastics, gynecology, oncology, ENT, ophthalmology, pediatrics, sports medicine, and robotic surgery
Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including ROSA, Si and Xi da Vinci robots, Stealth, O-Arm, and HIPEC systems
Demonstrate strong proficiency in general, orthopedic (total joints), and neurosurgery scrubbing — all three areas are required
Adhere to facility scheduling expectations including working at least one holiday per 13-week contract period

Required Qualifications

BLS certification required
NBSTSA, NCCT, or military OR Tech certification required
Virginia state surgical tech license required ; if holding an out-of-state license, a 90-day authorization will be required while the VA state license is being obtained
Demonstrated proficiency in general surgery, orthopedic (total joints), and neurosurgery — experience in all three specialties is mandatory
Must live at least 100 miles from the facility (measured from address on Driver's License) to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with big belly/craniotomy and orthopedic trauma cases highly preferred
Robotic surgical training (da Vinci or similar platform) highly preferred
